Floor Care: Now You Can Prove It's Clean

Company Website

Historically, the big problem with cleaning is that it is so subjective. What one person says is clean may be dirty to someone else.

Now, recent tests of everyday cleaning tasks, such as cleaning floors and surfaces, prove which techniques really clean — and which simply do not make the cut.

In one test, a thoroughly cleaned floor was tested for ATP (adenosine triphosphate), a molecule found in all living things. When found on surfaces, ATP is often a red flag indicating that harmful microorganisms may be present. A low reading of 25 was measured.

Then a grape was spread over the floor. The ATP jumped to 7,267, indicating a high concentration of ATP.

The floor was next cleaned using a fresh microfiber mop head soaked in a hospital-grade disinfectant. Results: the ATP level dropped to 1,479.

The test was repeated, this time with a Kaivac No-Touch Cleaning™ system. Results: the ATP measurement dropped to 27, meaning that virtually all of the microorganisms had been eliminated.

The Kaivac system takes the guesswork out of cleaning. Now you know it’s clean…if it’s Kaivac clean.
