Restroom Care: Portable Cleaning System Cleans Up At Wilson Elementary

Company Website

The test results are in, and not only is Cincinnati’s Forest Hills School District one of the State of Ohio’s best, with an “Excellent” rating seven years running, but its Wilson Elementary offers one of the cleanest, most education-friendly environments in the nine-school district.

This enviable rate of cleanliness at the school comes as a result of the use of an ICS automatic-cleaning unit from Hydro Systems by the custodial staff in its daily restroom-cleaning regimen. Looking for a test subject for its revolutionary ICS 8900 units, Hydro Systems, the leading independent manufacturer of proportioning, dosing and dispensing systems for concentrated chemicals, and an industry leader in automatic/touch-free cleaning systems for daily cleaning applications, offered a unit to Wilson Elementary in March 2007. The results have been spectacular.

“The guys at Wilson love it. It really helps them a lot,” said Kevin Reid, Forest Hills’ Assistant Head of Maintenance and District Supervisor of Custodial Staff. “It also provides the students with a clean, nice environment that helps them produce good test scores. We take a lot of pride in that.”

The ICS 8900 is an affordable, self-contained portable cleaning system that uses correctly dosed cleaning chemicals that are applied by spray nozzle using low-flow/low-pressure technology. This innovative design results in cleaner restrooms that use less chemicals, less water and less time, while easing the physical burden on cleaning staff through the elimination of much of the bending, stooping and scrubbing, along with the unpleasant “hands on” cleaning, of traditional cleaning and sanitation methods.
