As the green movement extends across the country, more
and more facilities are looking to their cleaning procedures as the
first step in meeting environmentally friendly goals and promoting
sustainability both inside and outside their organizations. But while
green cleaning alternatives are available for nearly every other
chemical, a certified green disinfectant/sanitizer remains elusive. So
how can customers, end users and occupants be reassured that their
buildings are clean -- and green?
In this 75-minute Webcast, featuring green consultant Stephen Ashkin, president of the Ashkin Group, and moderated by Contracting Profits
magazine deputy editor Lisa Ridgely, attendees will learn about their
options when evaluating the inclusion of disinfectants and sanitizers
in a green cleaning program.
The Webcast will:
| Define the various types of disinfectants and how they can be used | |
| Discuss the technical differences among disinfectants, sanitizers and sterilizers | |
| Review the proper products for specific cleaning goals | |
| Explain why disinfectants are classified as pesticides and currently cannot be labeled green | |
| Update on the EPA and Office of Pesticide Program’s pilot programs that may allow manufacturers to display green claim on product labeling |
