Marlyn Purdie has one active cleaning schedule. He owns and operates Purdie Clean, a contract cleaning business, and serves as the fulltime environmental services janitor at a hospital in Jefferson, Iowa. From the healthcare environment to equipment manufacturing plants to law offices, Purdie needs a multi-tasking cleaning solution that keeps up the pace.
Over 10 years ago, Purdie found a machine that made his work easier and his time more productive. He bought a ProTeam Super CoachVac backpack vacuum, and has never looked back.
"The vacuums I used before were fine, but I was intrigued by the concept of something lightweight and versatile," says Purdie. "I had my doubts about ProTeam, but then I demoed one. Immediately I thought, 'Oh wow.' I changed my mind right there. ProTeam tops everybody."
With a decade of use, Purdie has never had a repair or performance issue. He now cleans a wide range of floor types-from showrooms to hardwood to rubber floors-in record time.
"ProTeam cuts cleaning time in half," says Purdie. "I look for ways to be more efficient without missing anything. This is my solution. The suction is unbelievable. I love the on-belt attachments. And it runs like a top."
Purdie now has a reputation at the hospital and his other worksites for his loyalty to the ProTeam vacuum. His clients lightheartedly tease him about his constant backpack companion, drawing a comparison to another backpack in a classic movie from the 80s. Purdie notes, "I'm known as Marlyn the Ghostbuster."
He advocates ProTeam to his clients as the vacuums that remove dust more effectively and improve indoor air quality where people need it most. He even persuaded a new client, a weight-lifting space, to upgrade their vacuums.
"I told them they had to give me better equipment to work with. I showed them a ProTeam, and said these are the vacuums to get. They cut cleaning time in half, clean well, and are very effective."
