Cleaning Machine: Keeping Keeping High-Risk and All Students Healthy
Today’s schools must contend with a variety of challenges, with one issue more critical than ever before: health. This gets even more complicated when schools teach high-risk students.
The term high-risk refers to students who are at an increased risk for chronic physical, developmental, or emotional conditions.
Paul Acuff and Damon Raines, Environmental Services Managers for the Catoosa County Public Schools in Ringgold, Georgia, are familiar with this group of students.
Several of their district's 17 public schools have students with specialized health care needs, and they have found the best way to keep these and all their students healthy is with the Kaivac No-Touch Cleaning system.
“Not only are our facilities healthier using the Kaivac system, but worker productivity has increased significantly,” says Raines. “And our custodial staff likes [the Kaivac equipment] so much that should a machine go down, they say it’s almost like taking one of their arms.”
