Emulsifying and eliminating oil and embedded soils on a machine shop’s floors, walls, and other surfaces is one of the most difficult cleaning jobs imaginable.
And often, fine shavings of steel are mixed in with the grimy oil, making cleaning all the more difficult.
This was becoming such a serious problem at Maine Parts & Machine, Portland, Maine, that they turned to their jansan distributor, Michael R. Martin of Swish–New England, for help.
“I went in with three traditional cleaner-degreasers as well as a Green-certified cleaner, ES75 from Enviro-Solutions,” says Martin. All the products were mixed at the same dilution ratio and allowed adequate dwell time. “Without question, the ES75 outperformed even the most rugged of the degreasers.”
“Plus [with the ES75] there were hardly any fragrances, fumes, or offensive odors, and the product was fast acting.”
