Carpet Care: Watching a Certified Carpet Cleaning Technician Do His Magic
Working with the Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI), carpet cleaner Edward Hooker, a CRI Seal of Approval certified technician, was videotaped cleaning the heavily soiled carpets of a popular Nashville, Tennessee eatery, The JetStream Grill. The video shows Hooker vacuuming the carpets first “because vacuuming removes seventy-five percent of the dry soil in the carpets,” says Hooker. After a pre-spray applied, a counter-rotating brush agitator is used on the carpet, “to get the cleaning solution down [deep] into the fibers,” he says. And, the final step in the cleaning process: extraction. This certified technician is shown using the Evolution wand specially developed by U.S. Products for use with truckmount extractors. Less than nine pounds, with two vacuum tubes, and engineered with an advanced laminar airflow design, technicians like Hooker find the Evolution is so effective, it can help cuts costs as it improves worker productivity and reduces worker fatigue.
