Tennant Donates More Than Money to Millennium Park
Golden Valley, Minn.-based Tennant Company provided Chicago's Lurie Garden with its most significant corporate donation since the Garden opened in 2004. The Lurie Garden is a 2.5-acre ecological and natural garden within Chicago's infamous Millennium Park. The donation was the culmination of a partnership between Tennant Company and Millennium Park, Inc. that came to life during the 2006 ISSA/INTERCLEAN® USA Tradeshow and Educational Conference, which took place at Chicago's McCormick Place October 4 - 7. The total donation is valued at nearly $40,000 and includes $20,000 in plants that were incorporated into Tennant Company's booth design; $10,000 in labor costs to install the plants; and another $8,000 in plants that will be planted in the Garden the spring of 2007. The total donation marks the largest single corporate donation to the Lurie Garden since its completion in 2004.
