Southeastern Paper Group, Inc. announced its acquisition of Atlantic Brokerage Company. Atlantic Brokerage Company located in Charleston, S.C. has specialized in supermarket supplies and machinery, since it was founded by its owner Howard Blackburn, over 40 years ago. The size and breadth of products that Southeastern Paper Group sells and the great reputation of Atlantic Brokerage Company makes Southeastern Paper Group/Atlantic Brokerage Company a major force in disposables packaging for the grocery industry. Serving national, regional and local grocery chains this acquisition will help Southeastern Paper Group, Inc. continue its growth as the leading disposable distributor in the Southeast. Atlantic Brokerage Company will continue to operate as a subsidiary of Southeastern Paper Group.
Benjy Miller, VP of the Grocery Division is handling sales responsibility along with Howard Blackburn. David Hayden, Sales Consultant, and Anna King, office manager-sales assistant, will remain in their current positions. Most operations personnel handling warehouse and transportation were also retained.
Southeastern Paper Group has warehouses in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida and services 7 states out of 780,000 square feet of warehouse space.
