ServiceMaster President Leaves Following Disagreement with Management
Albert Cantu, ServiceMaster Co. group president, has left the company following disagreements with top management over the company's strategy, according to ChicagoBusiness.com.
Named president in January of this year, Cantu oversaw the company's plumbing, electrical and heating and ventilation service businesses. His duties also included overseeing the janitorial and household cleaning businesses.
The reason behind Cantu's split is still uncertain. ServiceMaster representative said, Cantu “is leaving the company to pursue other interests,” but declined to offer any specific cause for his departure.
Cantu, who spent his entire 20-year career with the company, was quoted in a written statement as saying, “I did not retire from ServiceMaster. I am disappointed to no longer be with the company and this is a process that I did not initiate."
