Georgia-Pacific Professional is launching a contest to honor America’s best workers. The Brawny Industrial Great American Worker contest is looking for top individuals throughout the country who combine a history of workplace safety and high work productivity with a commitment to community involvement.
“We are excited to host this contest and give workers across the country the opportunity to be recognized for their achievements both in their workplace and in their community,” said Ken Smith, vice president of the wiper category. “Georgia-Pacific Professional is dedicated to creating personal relationships with its customers and acknowledging its top users who continue to keep America running.”
Nominations will be accepted until June 30, 2011, and can be submitted here. Nominators will be required to compose a short essay describing how the nominee demonstrates the qualities and characteristics of a Great American Worker. The individual named the Brawny Industrial Great American Worker will receive a Ford F-150 truck. Three category prize winners will each receive $3,500 for their contributions to work safety, worker productivity and community involvement. Georgia-Pacific Professional will also award the individuals who nominated the Great American Worker Grand Prize Winner and each category winner with a $1,000 cash prize.
