The Orangeburg Consolidation School District in South Carolina came up with a very creative way to raise money for necessary cleaning equipment. One school in the district began harvesting timber to pay for equipment for the entire district.

Roughly $14,000 was raised from the harvesting and will go towards the purchase of floor-scrubbing machines, a wet/dry vacuum and a pressure washer for various schools. The new equipment will replace worn-out and broken-down machines.
