Rochester Midland Corporation (RMC) announced the acquisition of a new facility in Riverside, California. RMC plans to use the new facility to upgrade and expand their current production and warehouse/distribution capabilities on the west coast, replacing a smaller building currently in use in Ontario, California. RMC also plans to create a full scale training center for employees and customers in the new, larger facility.

This acquisition brings even more value to RMC’s western U.S. customer base. With an expanded western RMC facility in place, RMC can positively impact their position within the Sustainability movement in many ways—i.e. better training for their employees, helping them to improve their profitability, improved cycle counts with a local provider of goods, by assisting them in their efforts to improve our environment via a local source for green chemistry and water/energy reduction programs.

“ While many other companies have retreated in this economy, we’ve begun the process of putting two first class facilities into operation, looking to the future,” said Harlan Calkins, Chairman/Office of the CEO, referring to the company’s acquisition of a new production facility in Rochester, NY, early in 2010.
