Pro-Link, Inc., announced that two members of their staff, Rich Parillo and Bill Eckert, have recently earned CIMS certification from ISSA.

Parillo was the director of environmental services at a large New York–area hospital. He then started and ran the janitorial division of OR&L—a large construction, real estate marketing, and property management company in Connecticut and Florida—making it a multimillion-dollar enterprise. He is now Pro-Link’s Building Service Contractor Specialist.

Eckert, who is a master textile cleaner and instructor for IICRC*, has been in the cleaning and sanitary supply industry since 1978. He was manager for a contract cleaning company and has sold cleaning products and equipment for more than 20 years. He is a Pro-Link Regional Manager and Chemical Specialist.

According to Parillo, the CIMS program is a consensus-based management program incorporating the “best practices” of a variety of different cleaning systems and management standards.

“It helps professionalize cleaning technicians,” he says. “It’s a set of practices and standards that help cleaning workers and contractors deliver consistent, top-quality work.”

Adds Eckert, “As end customers realize the importance of our industry in protecting human health, these programs [like CIMS] help our industry address these challenges, and perform our work more efficiently and effectively.”
