New Jersey Increases Wages for Cleaning Staff
The Senate Labor Committee has approved a measure that would double the wages for private cleaning staff working in state buildings in New Jersey, according to one Courier-Post article.
The new bill will require companies with contracts to clean, maintain or secure state buildings to pay the prevailing wages. Once implemented, the bill will come to the aid of about 500 workers currently working in state buildings.
