Chris Bond was named director of purchasing for Continental Commercial Products. Bond, who will be based at the company’s St. Louis headquarters, will handle procurement for the company’s four divisions, including Continental, Wilen, Glit-Microtron, and Disco.
A seasoned purchasing professional, Bond has worked in the home construction, automotive, and electronics industries. He comes to Continental Commercial Products with over 10 years of procurement and supply chain experience in various R&D and manufacturing facilities. Most recently, Bond was director of purchasing for Clopay Service Corporation (Griffon Corporation) in Phoenix, AZ, a $1.2 billion manufacturing and distribution operation that serves the home building industry.
“Continental has a good business plan, a good future, and is very progressive. I am excited to join the company, and especially look forward to the international aspects of the job,” said Bond.
Bond, a native of St. Louis, Missouri, holds a bachelor of science degree in management from Southwest Missouri State University and an MBA in international business from the University of Phoenix in Arizona. He is studying to take the Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) exam offered through the Institute of Supply Management.
