Memphis Chemical & Janitorial Supply Company announced that it was recognized as the 2006 U.S. Small Business Administration “8(a) Contractor of the Year,” for the State of Tennessee.

The prestigious award was presented to Memphis Chemical during the Minority Enterprise Development Week (MEDWeek) Award Luncheon Friday, October 6, 2006. The award is in recognition of the company’s outstanding performance and commitment to excellence as an 8(a) contractor and small business entrepreneur.

This award marks the 2nd award the company has received this year from the U.S. Small Business Administration. The company’s growth and excellence in business was cited earlier this year as the company received 2006 Administrator’s Award for Excellence.
