EPA Suspends Reporting Submission Period Under TSCA
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced that it will suspend the next Inventory Update Reporting (IUR) submission period, under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) section 8(a) regulations, according to reports from The Environmental Leader. IUR requires manufacturers and importers of certain chemical substances included on the TSCA Chemical Substance Inventory to report data on the manufacturing, processing, and use of the chemical substances.
The EPA said that it is suspending the next IUR submission period to allow more time to complete modifications to the TSCA regulations and to avoid finalizing changes during the 2011 submission period.
