Bunzl Distribution Inc., St. Louis, a leading supplier of disposable paper and plastic packaging to supplies to an array of businesses and industries, announced the acquisition of A.W. Mendenhall, a redistribution company headquartered in Chicago with warehouses in Chicago and St. Louis.

With A.W. Mendenhall customers located in 10 Midwestern states, the acquisition will expand Bunzl's opportunities in janitorial and sanitary maintenance, as well as in the foodservice and industrial packaging sectors. Hal Wolken, former owner and president of A.W. Mendehnhall will continue to manage both locations along with his current management team.
