Brady Industries announced its sponsorship of the Cleaning Industry Research Institute (CIRI) 2007 Symposium. The event will be held on April 30 to May 2 on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), in cooperation with the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration.

“We’re pleased to be involved with this first-of-its-kind symposium for the cleaning industry,” noted Jeff Pease, Vice President of Corporate Sales and Marketing. “As one of the nation’s leading janitorial distributors, we recognize the need to base cleaning practices on a strong scientific foundation. That’s why we joined CIRI in the first place - to help the Institute promote the importance of cleaning through scientific research. We’re thrilled that the Symposium is being held in Las Vegas. Our customers have told us that information is as important to them as equipment and chemicals. We feel the CIRI conference will give them a new level of understanding about the science of cleaning.”

The theme for this year’s conference is The State of Cleaning Science™, and will include presentations from two types of papers. The first is a series of “foundation” papers created by the CIRI Science Advisory Council identifying the latest information available on cleaning science. The second is a series of papers from industry and academic researchers evaluating different aspects of the cleaning process. There will also be panel discussions at the end of each day in an open forum to allow for attendee feedback and input on the papers. For more information, visit www.ciri-research.org/symposium.
