Barbara Casse-Bender Honored by NJSSA
Barbara Casse-Bender, President of BCB Janitorial in Hackensack, N.J., was selected by the NJSSA Board of Trustees to receive the 4th NJSSA Bob Stader Lifetime Achievement Award. She will be presented with this prestigious award at the President's Reception, May 4th at 6pm in The Taj Mahal Hotel Casino & Spa during NJSSA’s Biannual Supply Line trade show in Atlantic City, N.J.
Casse-Bender served as Executive Director of the New Jersey Sanitary Supply Association and was responsible for reinvigorating the Supply Line trade show in the 1990s. She was one of the original creators of the Association’s Operation Clean Sweep program of community service and helped the association fund two ISSA Scholarships to worthy New Jersey area students. She also served on the Board of Directors of the International Sanitary Supply Association, serving as a District Director from 1999-2001 and as Secretary of the ISSA Board from 2003-2005.

She gave so much of her time and attention to our association and in managing the Supply Line show, and we are very grateful for all her efforts on the association’s and the industry’s behalf,” said Peter Davidson (Leading Edge Associates), NJSSA President.
This is the fourth Bob Stader Lifetime Achievement Award to be presented. In 2004, Russ Leahy was awarded the first Bob Stader Award and Norman Leibowitz of Norshel Industries was recognized in 2006. In 2008, Hank Josephs of Spruce Industries was selected to receive the award. The recipient is selected biannually by the NJSSA Board of Trusties and the award is named in memory of Bob Stader, a founding member of NJSSA.
