ARAMARK Corporation is ranked number one in its industry on Fortune magazine’s list of “America’s Most Admired Companies” for 2006. The list and related stories appear in the March 6 issue, appearing on newsstands February 27.

“I am very proud of all of our employees for making our company one of the most respected in the business,” says Joseph Neubauer, chairman and CEO of ARAMARK. “We are honored by this recognition of our excellence in our ability to provide world-class experiences for our clients and customers, and of the role we play in helping clients realize their core mission through the services we provide. FORTUNE’s study of America’s Most Admired Companies is conducted annually by The Hay Group, a leading organizational and human resources consulting firm. The study surveys executives and directors from FORTUNE 1,000 companies, along with industry analysts, to identify companies with the strongest reputations. Companies are evaluated by their peers in eight key criteria:

  • Their ability to attract and retain talent.
  • The quality of their management team.
  • Their social responsibility to the community and the environment.
  • Their innovation.
  • The quality of the products or services offered to clients.
  • Their use of corporate assets.
  • Financial soundness.
  • Long-term investment value.
ARAMARK topped the magazine’s list in the Diversified Outsourcing category, which studies businesses that offer a range of value-added professional services. The company has placed among the top three companies in this category each year since 1998.
