Executives from AkzoNobel and Clorox are the two newest members of the American Cleaning Institute (ACI) Board of Directors, according to a recent press release. Robert Margevich, president and managing director of AkzoNobel Surface Chemistry; and Benno Dorer, senior vice president – Cleaning Division and Canada, The Clorox Company, were elected at the ACI Board’s June meeting.
They are filling out the terms of former Directors Frank Sherman, AkzoNobel, and Larry Peiros, Clorox, which run through January 2012.
“ACI is fortunate to continue to have high-level executive leadership throughout the cleaning product supply chain on our Board of Directors,” said Ernie Rosenberg, ACI President and CEO. “We welcome the insights and active participation of Bob Margevich and Benno Dorer.
“At the same time, we profoundly thank Frank Sherman and Larry Peiros for their many years of service on ACI’s Board of Directors. They served in major leadership roles, provided invaluable counsel and feedback, and worked tirelessly to further establish ACI’s role as the home of the U.S. cleaning products industry. We wish them much success in their new assignments within their companies.”
