Risk-Assessment Agreement Supported by Associations
A risk-assessment agreement reached at a meeting of the leaders from Canada, Mexico and the United States to discuss the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America is being applauded by industry associations, reports ISSA.
The agreement concerns North American regulatory risk-based assessment and management of existing chemical substances. The Canadian Consumer Specialty Products Association, the U.S. Consumer Specialty Products Association and the U.S. Soap and Detergent Association indicated the agreement is the result of ongoing work that will ensure coordination of regulatory processes, Ppomote best practices and offer an information-sharing forum.
