SCA has been selected for the second consecutive year by the Ethisphere Institute as one of the world’s most ethical companies.

This year’s 99 honorees were selected from a pool of more than 10,000 companies as exhibiting the highest ethical standards in their industries.

The Ethisphere Institute, based in New York, is a non-profit think tank dedicated to the research and promotion of profitable best practices in
global governance, business ethics, compliance and corporate responsibility.
This is the third year that the Ethisphere Institute has conducted the ethics survey and announced its list of most ethical companies.

“We are extremely proud of SCA’s commitment to exemplifying the core values of respect and stewardship for the world we live and work in, both
environmentally and socially,” said Don Lewis, President of SCA Tissue North America. “We share that commitment to demonstrating good corporate citizenship and conducting business with the highest level of integrity.”

In evaluating applicants for its prestigious annual World’s Most Ethical Companies list, the Ethisphere Institute weighed performance in the following categories: corporate citizenship and responsibility; corporate governance; innovation that contributes to the public well being; industry leadership; executive leadership and tone from the top; legal, regulatory and reputation track record; and internal systems and ethics/compliance programs.
