We just started a Gratitude Challenge in our office with a goal to improve happiness, health, and overall well-being. Its purpose is to help us develop the skill of being grateful and provide unique ways to practice gratitude. It's working on me.

I'm very lucky to have a lot to be thankful for. Personally, I have an amazing husband and the best dog. I'm fortunate to still have both my parents, a brother and a sister, as well as the beautiful families they have gifted us with. I have friends old and new, and some of the kindest neighbors.

I'm grateful for my health, which gives me the ability to hike in my local parks, 4-wheel through the northern woods of Wisconsin, and kayak with girlfriends who are as close as sisters.

At work, I have some of the most supportive, kind, and hardworking coworkers and team members. And of course, I am grateful for the truly amazing people I have met in this industry.

My gratitude is at its peak because I've just returned from Las Vegas where I attended BSCAI's annual Contracting Success event (CS25), co-located with ISSA. CS25 wasn't a normal event this year—it was a celebration of 60 years of BSCAI and an opportunity to recognize all the amazing people who have helped shape it into what it is today.

Current and past/retired members addressed both the hurdles they faced and the successes they accomplished to drive innovation in the association and the industry. It was truly inspiring, and you couldn't help but be grateful for their foresight and determination when making difficult decisions with the purpose of improving the life and work of future generations.

Throughout the year, Contracting Profits has helped highlight some of these bigger milestones that shaped BSCAI. Every issue featured a different decade, concluding with the most recent achievements (see page 15). It required us to tap into industry experts who impacted commercial cleaning for the last 60 years, and I'm personally and professionally grateful for the experience.

I'm walking away from these conversations with past players and current innovators with appreciation. They gifted their time, their personal stories, shared experiences, recommendations for business, management tips, and a lot of laughs. To quote one of them, "My cup is full."

This is the time of year when it's common to reflect and show gratitude. I hope you can fill your cup.
