Georgia-Pacific Professional travelled to Grove Avenue Elementary School in Barrington, Ill., with its hygiene representative, Mo, to conduct hand washing lessons with parents, students and teachers before class.
Known as the company’s Vice President of Hygiene and Chairman of Cool, Mo, who has an enMotion towel dispenser as his head, greeted students at Grove Avenue Elementary School the morning of Friday, Oct. 9, as they entered school. As the day started, students heard a special morning announcement from Mo reminding them about the importance of frequent hand washing for flu prevention.
“Now, more than ever, it is an important time for Georgia-Pacific Professional to assist community members with maintaining their health and wellness, especially when they’re away from home,” said Bill Sleeper, president, Georgia-Pacific Professional, “We are proud to partner with schools to offer information that students and parents can enjoy together while learning about the importance of hand hygiene as a preventive measure to reduce the spread of diseases.”
Robed in jiu-jitsu attire, Mo visited four classrooms to teach students the steps of proper hand washing. Earlier in the week, students received hand washing kits that contained coloring sheets to help Mo kick germs out of the classroom. In conjunction with the school, the lesson reminded students of the most appropriate times to wash their hands, such as before meals and after playing outside or coughing. Finally, Mo gave the school hand-washing posters and signs to remind students to wash their hands frequently.
