ECi Posts Record October Sales

ECi Software Solutions (ECi), Fort Worth, Texas, announced that the company posted record sales for the month of October.

“We had a record month with new customer acquisitions,” says CEO Ron Books. “We are beginning to see an uptick in new system sales, due in part to the improving economy.”

Mr. Books adds, “Overall, I think more companies are realizing the importance of selecting the right partner for their information technology needs. It’s not just about the core software anymore. With the technology landscape and business requirements changing at such a rapid pace, companies need a technology partner that is capable of growing with them, adapting to the needs of the market, and providing end-to-end solutions that maximize efficiencies across their entire business.  ECi is that technology partner and we have witnessed a recent trend where former customers are returning to ECi. In fact, several of our recent wins, and a fairly significant portion of our pipeline, are former customers that are looking to come back. The primary reason for this trend is that they understand that ECi offers them the best solution for long-term success. We have the ability and resources to scale with our customers as they grow their business.

“Many businesses are also taking advantage of the Section 179 tax deductions before the end of the year,” continues Books. “Whether upgrading their existing system or investing in a new one, we have assisted many companies in leveraging their improved buying power afforded by this tax incentive.  Combined with our generous financing, this is a true win-win situation for all.”

For tax year 2009, the Section 179 expansion increases the deduction limit for business purchases to $250,000. A bonus depreciation allowance is also available, permitting an immediate 50-percent depreciation of new assets, in addition to the regular first year of depreciation.

Through strategic partnerships, ECi also offers data management, credit processing, variable data printing and loss prevention solutions. The two newest partnerships include Watcher Total Protection loss prevention systems and Planet Press variable printing solutions. “Add-on products that expand your business’ ability to print professional documents in house, provide 24/7 surveillance, or keep a running inventory using a mobile handheld scanner can qualify for the tax incentives,” says Books. “If you are looking to expand functionality in any of those directions, now is the perfect time to act. ECi offers the complete solution to help a business do it all. We have an on-going drive to do what we can to help make our dealers and distributors more successful and the results are showing that our customers appreciate this. ”
