Protect-A-Bed Opens Chicago Office, Warehouse Facility
Protect-A-Bed recently moved its U.S. headquarters to a new office and warehouse facility in Wheeling, III. A ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house for dignitaries, customers and employees from across the world, was held in late November.
Protect-A-Bed moved into their new location at 1500 South Wolf Road in Wheeling in July. The state-of-the-art facility includes 20,000 square feet of office space and 200,000 square feet of warehouse area.
Protect-A-Bed most recently occupied a 31,000 square foot facility in Northbrook, Ill., since October 2008. When they moved into that facility, they centralized U.S. operations and added a warehouse to ship product to their growing customer base across the United States.
“Our company is quickly expanding so we are moving to a much larger space to accommodate our growing customer needs,” says James Bell, CEO of Protect-A-Bed.
“Protect-A-Bed is on track to grow 35 percent over last year. Our new facility will help perpetuate our continual growth pattern and poise us for accelerated growth.”
According to Bell, the new facility is projected to help Protect-A-Bed to increase their business four or five times the current size. “It will facilitate a quicker turn-around time for processing orders,” Bell says.
