Last Chance to Become a CIMS Expert in 2009
More than 400 industry professionals who have already achieved Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) ISSA Certification Expert (I.C.E.) certification. Additional jan/san professionals are encouraged to join the ranks by attending one of the final two I.C.E. workshops scheduled in 2009 and learning about the new CIMS-Green Building (GB) criteria.
The I.C.E. workshop is an in-depth program detailing the elements of an effectively managed cleaning organization and offers unique insight into our customer’s or your own organization’s top management and operational hot buttons.
Why should you attend an upcoming workshop and achieve I.C.E. certification?
• Garner in-depth knowledge on CIMS, which top organizations are ncreasingly using as a primary benchmarking resource.
• Evaluate ways to save your customers, or your own organization, money. Custodial operations around the United States must reduce labor budgets by 5
percent to 10 percent, and past attendees have saved their customers or heir own organization more than six figures annually by helping implement the management best practices outlined in CIMS. The operational and budgetary knowledge you’ll learn in this course is ecessary to position yourself as an indispensable resource in these harsh conomic times.
• Strengthen relationships by helping evaluate, reduce, and redeploy staffing in challenging economic times.
• Learn about the CIMS-GB criteria, which set a new industry standard for nvironmentally preferable cleaning services and which are based on the green cleaning requirements of the LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance Green Building Rating System.
Two remaining I.C.E. workshops for 2009 are scheduled for this fall. The first workshop, hosted by the New England Sanitary Supply Association (NESSA), takes place September 21 at the Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites in Marlborough, MA. Members of both ISSA and NESSA will be eligible for a discounted registration fee. To register, go to http://www.issa.com/data/File/CIMS/ICE%20Reg%20Form%20NESSA%2009.pdf.
ISSA will host the final workshop at ISSA/INTERCLEAN® North America 2009, at McCormick Place South, Chicago, IL, October 5-6. This two-day session will begin October 5, 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m., and conclude October 6, 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. To register, go to http://www.issa.com/data/File/CIMS/ICE%20Reg%20Form%20Chicago%20Show%2009.pdf.
