Cleaning Industry Steps Up To Help Those Affected By Superstorm Sandy
Following Superstorm Sandy, the American Cleaning Institute (ACI) and the American Association of Family & Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) launched the "Warm Hands, Warm Hearts" campaign to collect gloves, mittens and hand soap for those affected by the storm. (Click here to read initial reports about this program.)
In just over one month, the project resulted in 1,750 pairs of gloves and mittens. That donation, along with the hand soap donated by ACI, will be sent to families in New Jersey, one of the hardest hit areas.
Those involved with the program extend sincere thanks to all who participated and encourage everyone to continue their contributions to those affected by the storm.
