Cleaning Contractor Benefits from Vacated Airport

BG Service Solutions was chosen to take over janitorial services for parts of Orlando International Airport following Delta Air Lines departure from 16 gates. According to the Orlando Sentinel, Delta filed for bankruptcy last year and was forced out of 316,829 square feet of space it used for 16 gates.

The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority approved an additional $2.6 million to provide janitorial services for the abandoned area, a nice addition to the existing 36-month, $23.3 million contract the airport has with BG Service Solutions to clean other areas of the airport. New tenants of the abandoned gates are expected to contribute to the cost of the new contract.
