3M Stone Floor Protection System Wins ISSA Innovation Award
Today’s facility managers are consistently tasked with ensuring the safety and cleanliness of a building’s floor while simultaneously preserving a surface’s aesthetic appeal. In an effort to assist with all three factors, 3M developed the 3M Stone Floor Protection System, providing a comprehensive floor care system that restores, protects and maintains floor surfaces with minimal steps. Based on outstanding customer feedback and user experience, the system is the 2017 ISSA Innovation Award winner in the Cleaning Agents category.
3M Stone Floor Protection System provides a complete floor care solution for marble, terrazzo, concrete and other porous stone floors. The system refinishes floor surfaces in fewer steps, creating a long-lasting, high-traction shine that resists scuffs, stains and scratches. Facility managers are able to achieve durable, beautiful floors that require less stripping and scrubbing, resulting in reduced chemical usage and productivity gains.
“3M is honored to receive the ISSA Innovation Award for the Cleaning Agents category,” said Adrian Cook, 3M Marketing Manager. “As a commitment to our customers to continuously improve and innovate our current products, we are proud that 3M Stone Floor Protection System was recognized for being a best in class solution for floor care and aesthetics.”
A proven system with measurable results, the 3M Stone Floor Protection System consists of multiple products that work together to achieve a durable, low-maintenance shine. Highlights of the system include the Scotchgard Stone Floor Protector, which is a highly durable and scuff-resistant formula that requires less maintenance and fewer re-coats and the 3M Trizact Diamond TZ Abrasive Pads, which have been optimized to wear evenly and last 2X longer. The enhanced abrasive structure of the pads also reduces polishing time and the Gold pad works more effectively on heavily damaged floors.
This year's ISSA Innovation Award Program featured 34 products and services from cleaning manufacturers and service providers. Participants were entered into one of five categories: Cleaning Agents, Dispensers, Equipment, Services & Technology, and Supplies, and distributors, wholesalers and facility service providers voted online between July 1 and September 8 to determine the category winners.
