The Libman Company has partnered with the Healthy Facilities Institute (HFI), the National Parent Teacher Association (PTA), the New Jersey PTA, and the Brick, New Jersey, Lake Riviera Middle School PTA to donate more than $20,000 worth of Libman’s Big Tornado Mop to the Hurricane Sandy Relief Effort. Brick, New Jersey was one of the hardest hit communities and remains under a state of emergency.
“A partnership with HFI and the National PTA,” said Andrew Libman, one of the fourth generation company owners, “was a great opportunity to quickly get our mops into the hands of the families who needed them most.”
Cathy Lindenbaum, the VP of Education for the New Jersey PTA, is leading the relief effort on the ground. Prior to Libman’s donation, the New Jersey PTA had many requests from the community for mops and other cleaning supplies. “I gave them what we had, but as one woman put it, it wasn’t enough,” Lindenbaum said. Libman’s donation is coming just in time. School has resumed this week, along with many other businesses. The clean-up effort still has a long way to go, with many expected not to be able to return home for another six months.
