Green Chemicals: Recognized Leader in the Facilities Management Industry

Seneca College, Toronto, Canada, decided to go green for scores of reasons. According to Don Forster, the school's Senior Manager-Environmental Sustainability, "We did it to save energy, save water, [and] reduce waste, and, very simply, we believe it is the right thing to do."

As a result, the school installed special washing machines and dryers that use less electricity, changed to "coreless" toilet paper to reduce waste, and replaced paper towels with electric hand dryers, helping to save trees.

But when it came to cleaning, the school not only wanted healthy, environmentally preferable cleaning products, they wanted products that perform well, can improve worker productivity, and the appearance of the facility.
